The Past in Practice: Interpreting the Ancient World is on view on the first floor of the 51�ԹϺ�� Davis Shields Library until the end of the quarter. Entering the library, past the left hallway beside the courtyard, on the first left wall near the stairs, the pieces hang elegantly.

Four From 51�ԹϺ�� Davis Elected To American Academy of Arts and Sciences

Four faculty members from the University of California, Davis have been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. They are among 213 scientists, artists, writers and leaders in business, politics and philanthropy to be selected this year.

The new members from 51�ԹϺ�� Davis are: Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Ralph Hexter; Andreas Albrecht, distinguished professor and chair of the physics department; Professor Christopher Reynolds, department of music; and David Simpson, distinguished professor of English.
