Together, our campuses join forces to conduct research that leads to medical breakthroughs that benefit not just Davis residents but everyone. Through our medical training programs and dissemination of research, we further spread new knowledge, innovations and best practices to the wider health care workforce.

Please join me in celebrating a milestone $120 million donation from philanthropists Joan and Sanford I. Weill through the Weill Family Foundation, to the 51�ԹϺ�� Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. This gift launches 51�ԹϺ�� Davis firmly into the future of higher education and makes us a model campus for comparative medicine. Their gift is the world’s largest-ever contribution to a veterinary school and one of the largest in 51�ԹϺ�� Davis history.

51�ԹϺ�� Davis is home to more than 40,000 students from all walks of life, each striving for success and creating positive change. But it’s not just the sheer number of students that is a hallmark of our college town. Their achievements beyond the classroom contribute to the Davis community while building the necessary skills to make a difference for our future.

You’ll find our students caring for animals and restoring local wildlife. They’re guiding students at our K-12 schools, teaching STEM concepts to local Girl Scouts and bringing history to life through public service.
