Take Our Children to Work Day Will Showcase Campus

51�ԹϺ�� Davis’ annual Take Our Children to Work Day will transform the campus into a playground of discovery on April 23. Described as a “family-oriented mini Picnic day” by event organizers, families can tour the Unitrans maintenance facility, watch a chemistry magic show, flip and tumble with the gymnastics team and much more.

First the Sacramento River Cats and then the Sacramento Kings honored our men’s and women’s basketball teams for their terrific seasons, and then, April 24, came official recognition — in the form of resolutions —from both houses of the state Legislature.

The men’s team made it to the Division I NCAA Tournament for the first time, and the women’s team advanced to the third round of the National Invitation Tournament. Go Ags!

Young Visitors Explore and Learn at 51�ԹϺ�� Davis

The Davis campus joined thousands of worksites around the country last Thursday (April 28) in celebrating Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. More than 400 employees and their children or other young guests participated.

“It was lots of fun and a nice way for 51�ԹϺ�� Davis to recognize and honor employees who juggle work and family responsibilities,” said Sandy Batchelor, coordinator for WorkLife, part of Human Resources.

TODS: Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day — Think of it as a mini-Picnic Day, with many of the same activities, but without so many people! Just the children and other young guests of staff, faculty and students.
