A program to celebrate the newly published books of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis faculty and academic appointees will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Peter J. Shields Library.
The event, co-sponsored by the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis General Library and the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis Bookstore, combines a reception, brief remarks by Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw, Academic Senate Chair and law professor Daniel Simmons, University Librarian Marilyn Sharrow, and a representative number of the authors.
The event also includes a one-day display of over 100 newly published books by 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis faculty members and academic appointees, and all authors whose books were submitted for display at the event will be honored.
