Buck, who has an unusually high platelet count, can donate blood every two weeks and has made 400 blood donations in the amount of 50 gallons since 1989 when he first gave blood as a 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis student. He urges employees to consider giving blood at the AS51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏD blood drive from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16-17 at Freeborn Hall. "I am challenging the staff to match my 400 donations at the fall blood drive," said Buck. "Our blood drive is the largest in the area, but most of the donations come from students." The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis blood drives typically collect about 3,400 pints of blood a year, said Angela Tarricone of Blood Source.
