Retired coach Jim Sochor took to Toomey Field again recently, this time to be honored for his achievements that led to his induction into the national College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Ind. Sochor can boast a 156-41-5 record during his 19 seasons as the head football coach at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Davis.
Sochor's induction means that he is in the same hall as Knute Rockne and Pop Warner, not to mention fellow 1999 inductees ex-San Diego Chargers coach Don Coryell, ex-Nebraska coach Tom Osborne and former Auburn great and ex-Oakland Raider Bo Jackson.
