The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Board of Regents on March 19 approved two appointments to the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Office of the President. Peter J. Taylor was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ system. Taylor, who most recently served at Barclays Capital as managing director of public finance, will begin his new job April 6 overseeing all aspects of financial management at the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s 10 campuses, medical centers and labs. He will make an annual salary of $400,000.
The regents also confirmed the hiring of Daniel M. Dooley as senior vice president for external relations. Dooley, who currently serves as vice president for agriculture and natural resources for the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ system, was asked last November to head the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s external relations operation. With his appointment to the external relations position, Dooley will continue to serve in both jobs for an indefinite term. He will make an annual salary of $370,000.
