PRINT YOUR GRAD CARD

• All graduates are required to have a printed physical grad card, which has your name and will be used to check in upon arrival and announce your name as you cross the stage.
• You must have it printed PRIOR to arriving at the Golden 1 Center.
• To print, log into the . Once logged in, just click the blue button on the top right corner labeled ‘Print Grad Card’. 
• You may print on regular white printer paper.
• Do not lose, tear and write on this card! Don’t forget your card!

TICKET INFORMATION UPDATE

Registered graduates participating in the ceremony do not need tickets to enter and will be checking in at a separate area. Guest tickets were issued to the registered graduate through Sacramento Kings+G1C App starting on May 19. Please refer to the  for the distribution schedule based on registration date. Graduates need to create an account through the Sacramento Kings+G1C app using their 51�ԹϺ��� Davis email address in order to access and transfer tickets to their guests. Please note that if you are using the Sacramento Kings+G1C app with a personal email account (gmail, yahoo, etc), you will not receive your commencement guest tickets to this non-51�ԹϺ��� Davis account.  

All graduates will be issued 6 guest tickets, regardless of what they requested during registration. If you do not need 6 guest tickets, you can transfer your extra tickets through the Sacramento Kings+G1C app to fellow graduates who are participating in your SAME ceremony. If you have any issues with your tickets, please visit the .

Don’t sell your extra tickets: University policy prohibits the selling of commencement tickets for money or for any commercial value. Violation will result in referral to Student Judicial Affairs.

Tickets are not required for children ages 2 and under. Please note that guest tickets are considered “general admission.” This means there are no assigned seats and seating is first come, first served. Doors will open 60 minutes before the start time for each ceremony and guests should plan to come early to secure their seats. As a reminder, only graduates are permitted to sit on the floor and/or participate in the ceremony, and guests must remain in the audience for the entirety of the event.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION

If you are planning to drive, ensure you and your guests leave ample time to park and go through Golden 1 Center security. Ceremonies will start on time. To help expedite the parking process, we recommend you reserve parking at the Golden 1 Center in advance directly through  where you will select a parking lot and reserve a parking pass.

Please note that  will be taking place on June 13 and 14 and we expect the downtown Sacramento area will be busier than usual on those days. We encourage you to reserve parking as soon as possible. If you are using a rideshare service, please allow for extra travel time to arrive at the Golden 1 Center. For more parking info, including directions and a map, visit the .

A cap and gown is mandatory for graduates and the university reserves the right to refuse admission to students who do not comply with this requirement. Distribution will occur between May 20-June 13 at the Memorial Union Campus store lower level Mon–Fri 8:30 AM–6 PM, Sat noon-5 PM. The  also provides information on other opportunities to purchase custom souvenirs and gifts.

GOLDEN 1 CENTER BAG POLICY AND PROHIBITED ITEMS

Clutches and wallets smaller than 8” x 6” x 1” will be permitted and are subject to security inspection. Please do not bring any bags larger than this size or you will not be permitted to enter the arena. Bags deemed and accepted as medical bags must be searched and tagged by a security supervisor. Backpacks are prohibited inside Golden 1 Center. In addition to the bag policy, we recommend that you review the  to ensure entry into the arena.  

Please note that Doco Plaza (outside of the Golden 1 Center) will NOT permit any setups (backdrops, step and repeat, tents/canopies, picnic blankets, tables, etc.) of any kind without prior approval from Doco Plaza.

WEATHER UPDATE

Temperatures in the Sacramento area are forecast to approach triple digits throughout commencement weekend. Doors to the Golden 1 Center will open 60 minutes prior to each ceremony, and guests may need to wait outside for a period of time before entering the venue. Please note that there is limited shade available outside the Golden 1 Center. We encourage guests to dress appropriately for warm weather, stay hydrated and plan accordingly.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Pro Pics is the official photographer for the commencement ceremonies to take portraits of graduates. On-stage photos and individual portraits will be available for purchase from Pro Pics following the graduation ceremonies. . There is no cost to have your photo taken and no obligation to purchase.

Photos taken by family or friends will be permitted from their seats or from the designated photo areas available during the ceremony. Tripods will NOT be allowed into any of our commencement venues.

In the unlikely event that there is a last-minute change to a commencement ceremony or we need to reach you in the case of an emergency, all graduating students are required to review and confirm their mobile phone number in WarnMe. WarnMe is the system we use at 51�ԹϺ��� Davis to send a text message to your cell phone number with any urgent updates. Go to . Click on “Edit My WarnMe Information” to review your cell phone information and update, if needed. Please do this as soon as possible. Your cell phone information will not be used for any purpose other than critical or emergency updates for commencement.

A cap and gown, also referred to as regalia or “academic dress”, is mandatory for graduates and the university reserves the right to refuse admission to students who do not comply with this requirement. Graduates can ask ceremony questions to staff from the dean’s office of their undergraduate college, get information about gown rental, purchase grad packs and commencement souvenirs, and get professional graduation photos taken in a cap and gown. Guest tickets will be issued to the registered graduate a few days prior to the ceremony date. Tickets are not required for children ages 2 and under. Please note that guest tickets are considered “general admission.” This means there are no assigned seats and seating is first come, first served.

Don’t sell your extra tickets: University policy prohibits the selling of commencement tickets for money or for any commercial value. Violation will result in referral to Student Conduct and Integrity.

CEREMONY LIVESTREAM

If guests are not able to attend in person or would prefer to watch at home, ceremonies will be shown live on the commencement homepage and on-demand on the .

You have received this email because you have completed a minimum of 140 units of degree-applicable credit as of the end of fall quarter, meeting the requirement needed to register. (Please note that participating in a commencement ceremony doesn’t mean you have completed your degree. To officially graduate in June 2026 and receive your diploma, you must have filed a graduation application online between January 12, 2026 and March 6, 2026 through the .)

COMMENCEMENT REGISTRATION

NEW FOR 2026: Access to commencement registration will be tiered and based on the number of completed academic units, as outlined below. Graduates should confirm their total completed units and mark their calendars for the date and time they become eligible to register.

• March 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM: Graduates with 180+ Units
• March 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM: Graduates with 160+ Units
• March 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM: Graduates with 140+ Units

Commencement registration will be open from early March through May 29, 2026. The link to the registration system has been added to the Commencement homepage. 

You must register to participate in one of the commencement ceremonies. When registering, you will be asked to choose a ceremony date from the five options below. Ceremony dates will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so register as soon as possible. Please note that each graduate can request up to six guest tickets. Be sure to also check the dates and times of any cultural and affinity graduation celebrations you would like to attend before confirming your commencement ceremony date.
